Empowering individuals, families, and youth to overcome complex life challenges through trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based approaches.
I’m Dr. Jack Santiago Monell—a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) with more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health, forensic social work, and community justice.
I specialize in trauma, substance use, youth and family counseling, and culturally responsive therapy for individuals impacted by the justice system. My work is rooted in compassion and informed by decades of experience serving court-involved youth, justice-involved adults, and families navigating life’s most complex challenges.
My therapeutic approach integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems theory, and restorative justice principles. I’ve served in a variety of roles—from treatment specialist and therapist to federal program analyst—developing and evaluating programs that support long-term healing, stability, and equity.
As a published scholar and university professor, I’m passionate about training future clinicians in trauma-informed, culturally competent care, especially in the fields of forensic and community social work. Fluent in English and conversant in Spanish, I offer hybrid and community-based sessions and am committed to building strong, healing-centered relationships with the people and communities I serve.
